Spring Flowers Tee

In January 2020 Yarn and Colors released a new yarn called “Baby Fabulous” in 35 beautiful colors. To celebrate the release they hosted a competition for designers where you could submit your ideas and get to create a design using this yarn. Six designers where chosen, and I was one of the lucky ones to get to design for their LookBook #7 Baby Fabulous.

Seeing the beautiful colors of the pastel line I couldn’t help but to think of spring and lovely wild flowers bursting into bloom. I knew this was something I wanted to capture in my design. Choosing the colors to use was the hardest. Luckily the pattern tester would use the colors I didn’t which made the choice easier. I would get to see it in the other colors as well.

The early months of 2020 was all about the bobble stitch for me. With both the Morning Waves Cardigan and Cloud Mist Sweater patterns released, I still couldn’t get enough of the bobble stitch. And what better stitch to portrait my dream of a field of flowers?

Upon receiving the yarn I immediately began to crochet. I had a ready idea and couldn’t stop until I saw it come to life. My swatch turned out as I wanted after a few tries and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Placing my flowers around the garment I knew it would be a fun make. Bobble stitch is just so fun to crochet! Soon my Spring Flowers Tee was ready.

The pattern is written in 4 sizes: S, M, L and XL.

You need 10-13 skeins of Baby Fabulous in 3 different colors. You came buy it as a ready kit with 2 colorways to chose between or get the pattern separate and mix and match between the 35 colors available of the Baby Fabulous yarn. I know I would like to make another one using Birch, Mustard and Antique Pink.

Also go and have a look at the LookBook to see the other beautiful creations from my design colleagues. They made an excellent job!

Thank you Yarn and Colors for letting me design for you.
